The Centre on Thursday announced it has finalised arrangements with Hyderabad-based vaccine manufacturer Biological E to reserve 30 crore of its COVID-19 vaccine doses, the second made-in-India vaccine after Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin.

The Centre would be making an advance payment of 1,500 crore to Biological E. These vaccine doses will be manufactured and stockpiled from August-December 2021.
