Chandigarh: The Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday gave nod for naming Trauma Center in Civil Hospital, Khanna on the name of renowned humanitarian Padma Sri Bhagat Puran Singh Ji.
Divulging the details, the Chief Minister said that it is humble tribute to noted philanthropist Bhagat Puran Singh Ji, who dedicated his entire life for the well being of destitute and needy people. He said that throughout his life Bhagat ji selflessly served the underprivileged and weaker sections adding that his service to humanity is a source of inspiration for all.
Bhagwant Mann said that in recognition to this unparalleled service, the Punjab Government has decided to name the Trauma Center running in Civil Hospital, Khanna after Padam Sri Bhagat Puran Singh Ji.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is following the footsteps of the noble soul to serve the humanity. He said that as part of this endeavor only, the state government will soon dedicate 75 Aam Aadmi Clinics to people on August 15th, for ensuring that free quality treatment is provided to people. Bhagwant Mann said that around 41 health packages with nearly 100 clinical tests will be offered to the people free of cost in these Clinics.
The Chief Minister reiterated that these clinics will be a cornerstone in revamping the healthcare system in Punjab. Likewise, he said that the entire healthcare system is being revamped for benefitting the poorest of poor and needy person. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government is fully committed for perpetuating the glorious legacy of Bhagat Puran Singh ji to serve the masses selflessly and humbly.
