Chandigarh – The Chief Minister Punjab orders here on Tuesday to shut down the Malbros liquor factory situation at Zira in Ferozepur.
CM Bhagwant Mann tweets “No one is allowed to pollute water and air. After consulting with the legal experts , a major decision has been taken.”
He further tweets “I have ordered to close down Zira factory with immediate effect. In future also, if anyone would try to damage or pollute environment, would not be spared at all.

It is mentionable here that the residents of 40 villages and farmers organisations have been sitting on protest demanding for closure of the factory. The villagers have been saying that the underground water of the area has been effected due to Ethanol manufacturing factory unit which is harmful for the environment and health of the people.
