Chandigarh – Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann started his second inning of married life wife Dr. Gurpreet Kaur who belongs to Pehowa and did her MBBS from Maharishi Markandeshwar Mullana College at Ambala in Haryana.

The marriage is solemnised in a simple ceremony at Chief Minister residence in Chandigarh. Security was tightenup in order to avoid any untoward happening.

The chief guest on this occasion was Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who alongwith his daughter and wife came to attend the marriage ceremony. Kejriwal seemed to be in the role of elder brother and father figure to CM Mann.

CM Mann’s mother and his sister wanted him to remarry and start his life again after his divorce that took place in 2015. At that time , Mann has written a post on his twitter account that he had sacrificed his personal life to the sake of Punjab.

Mann’s first wife Inderpreet Kaur lives in America along with their two children, a son Dilshan Mann and a daughter Seerat Kaur. Their children had come India after election and were present in oath taking ceremony of chief minister Bhagwant Mann at Khatkar Kalan.

In an information through sources, Mann had told his children that he was planning for remarriage. He did talk to his son and daughter for consent and assured them that he would be taking care of them as well in the same manner.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh also came to attend the marriage. Raj Sabha member from Punjab Raghav Chadha was the first to reach at CM residence on this occasion.

It was a brief ceremony of some 50 close people in a private ceremony.
