Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Senior Leader and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema challenged the Congress to explain the allegations levelled by Rajya Sabha member and senior Congress leader Shamsher Singh Dullo. Cheema asked Shamsher Singh Dullo to public the names of the Congress leaders who sold and bought tickets to contest assembly elections so that the people of Punjab could know about these sellers and buyers.

In a statement issued from the party headquarters here on Monday, Harpal Singh Cheema said, “So, Congress’s ticket scam has come to the fore that they sold tickets to mafia and corrupt to contest Punjab Assembly Elections. And the exposé has been done by none other than senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Dullo. Dullo claims that Harish Chaudhary (Punjab Congress in-charge) has run a ticket shop in Punjab and has sold tickets to scammers, mafias and millionaires.”

He added that traditional parties continued their tradition of selling tickets to the rich and corrupt. Cheema appealed to Shamsher Singh Dullo to make the names public of the leaders to whom the Congress has sold tickets, as such people would give their support to the other traditional party for money, so the people of Punjab need to be aware of them. He said that traditional political parties have formed alliances with scammers, drug mafia and billionaires and these parties have come to power and patronized scammers and mafias.

An example of which was given by tNhe Akali Dal Badal in the 2017 elections by voting for the Congress party and the Congress by not taking action against the mafia. Harpal Singh Cheema said that in fact like SAD, Congress is also B team of BJP and together they all wanted to stop Aam Aadmi Party. The aim of Congress, BJP and Akali Dal Badal is to put an end to the wave of change of power in the country including Punjab. Therefore, the Congress candidates are eager to go with the BJP with huge gains.

He said that people of Punjab had turned their backs on the anti-Punjab schemes of Congress, BJP and Badals and they have voted unilaterally in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party and this is being confirmed by all opinion polls too and same will be announced on March 10th.
