Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has written to PM Narendra Modi, asking that the Marathas be allowed reservation in jobs and education.

Thackeray urged the PM to take steps to declare the community in the state as Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) to enable them to claim reservation in education and public employment at least to 12% and 13% respectively.
