New Delhi: Fire broke out in the slums of Gokulpuri in the Delhi at late night. During this fire, seven people died. Smoke spread all around when the slums were burning. Around 13 fire tenders reached on the spot and it took several hours to bring the fire under control. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed grief over the incident.

Kejriwal said that Delhi government will give a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of people above the age of 18 years who have lost their lives in the incident. 5-5 lakh will also be given to the families of the children who died in the incident and 25-25 thousand rupees will be given to those whose slums were burnt.
