Amritsar: Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, who passed away on May 15, was cremated near Gurdwara Sangrana Sahib. On this occasion prominent personalities of the Panth arrived and paid their last respects to Jathedar Vedanti. Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti’s Chikha was set on fire by his family members. Bibi Jagir Kaur, President of Shiromani Committee, Giani Jagtar Singh, Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Giani Malkit Singh, Additional Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Baba Avtar were present on the occasion. Singh Sursingh and other dignitaries of various denominations and servicemen were honored by wearing lois and siropas in the Panthic tradition.
