New Delhi: Government of India Retired cadre IAS Anup Chandra Pandey has been appointed as the country’s Election Commissioner. President Ramnath Kovind has appointed Pandey, a 1984 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre former IAS officer, as Election Commissioner. He retired on August 31, 2019. Anoop Chandra has also been the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh in 2018.
