No one can now protect gangsters, criminals will be wiped out of Punjab: AAP supremo Kejriwal

Chandigarh: Launching a fierce attack on opposition leaders of Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday blamed the successive governments for nurturing the gangsters during their regime. Addressing a gathering during an event to flag off the bus service to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, New Delhi from the Jalandhar, Kejriwal vowed to make Punjab a gangster-free land and said that notorious criminals will not be spared at any cost in the state.

“Gangsters were born in previous governments as nefarious leaders patronised these dreadful criminals. But after the formation of the AAP government in Punjab, the gangster regime is completely on cessation by putting criminals behind the bars,” Kejriwal said. “I dare opposition to answer, has Mann Saab brought these gangsters with him? These gangsters were nurtured under previous governments,” Kejriwal said while slamming opposition leaders for creating uproar over the alleged deterioration of the law and order situation in Punjab.

Delhi CM categorically said that no one can protect gangsters and anti-national elements in the state as the AAP government led by CM Mann will give exemplary punishment to them.
Kejriwal said that AAP has a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and wrongdoers. Earlier, dastardly politicians patronise criminals and government did not arrest them for their crimes. But AAP government-held Patiala communal clashes accused within 24 hours and now Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was brought to Punjab Police for interrogation in the murder case of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, he added.
