The Punjab Government has discharged the membership of the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) of Seechewal.

Now the government has taken away the membership of the Punjab Pollution Control Board from Seechewal.
It may be recalled that on November 14, the National Green Tribunal had imposed a fine of Rs. 50 crores on the Punjab government for not taking action against the factories promoting pollution in the rivers.
Seechewal presented the facts to NGT about the government’s laxity.
