Amritsar: During the function, the President of the Shiromani Committee Bibi Jagir Kaur paid homage and respect to Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and conveyed the entire journey from the shrine of Guru Sahib Ji to his martyrdom to the sangat of the country and abroad through video documentary. And Guru Sahib’s Bani was published in 5 languages and dedicated to the Sangat.

She said that the life of Guru Sahib was a great benefactor for humanity which had given a revolutionary message in the religious history of the world. She said that martyrdom is not a small thing to save any other religion and values. Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the entire life journey and ideology of Guru Sahib Ji would be conveyed to the Sangat through modern medium. Apart from this, the Shiromani Committee will also produce documentaries on Sikhs close to Guru Sahib. A list of 12 films has been prepared in this regard. He said that all this work would be carried out with the inspiration of Singh Sahibs.

.Meanwhile, Bibi Jagir Kaur also announced that the Guru Granth Sahib would be translated into five languages so that people who know different languages can understand the ideology of Gurbani. He also announced to set up a chair in the name of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. He said that the life history of Guru Sahib and his innumerable Sikhs and their contributions would be made the subject of research at the university. She said that dedicating this historic anniversary of Guru Sahib, the SGPC has already set up a center in Patiala for the preparation of IAS, IPS, PCS and NDA for the Gursikh youth.

The SGPC President said that although the celebrations of the 400th Prakash Purab could not be held on a grand scale due to Corona, these ceremonies would not end here but would continue throughout the year. A grand function will also be held later when the atmosphere improves.She said that the sangat should sit in their homes to share devotion and respect to Guru Sahib Ji in their respective homes, share the stories of Guru Sahib Ji and connect with his Gurbani. Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the function would continue throughout the year at various places. He thanked the prominent personalities of the Panth and the sangats from home and abroad who attended the function.
