At the sixth ICC Women’s World Twenty20, violent batswoman Harmanpreet Kaur will direct a 15-member Indian team which will be hosted in West Indies from 9 to 24 November 2018.
All-India Women’s Selection Committee selected the team, which will have opener Smriti Mandhana as Harmanpreet’s deputy.
Chandigarh batswoman and wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia has been elected for her first World Cup.
Other members selected in the team are Mithali Raj, Deepti Sharma, Veda Krishnamurthy, Anuja Patil, Jemimah Rodrigues, Poonam Yadav and Ekta Bisht.
In the 10-team event, India is placed in Group B along with New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and Pakistan.
India will hit the battleground against New Zealand in Guyana on 9th November followed by the matches against arch-rivals Pakistan on 11th November, Ireland on 15th November and Australia on 17th November.
