An enormously strong Hurricane Michael on Wednesday ran into Florida’s northwestern Panhandle coast.
The strong storm flooded towns and ripped up the trees with winds travelling at a speed of approximately 155 miles per hour and the capability for a disastrous storm surge.
Michael was the most powerful hurricane ever recorded to hit the Panhandle, also it intensified as it reached land.
On Wednesday afternoon, the storm made a landfall northwest of the town of Mexico Beach.
In the US Gulf of Mexico, the major disruption for the gas and oil production is caused by the storm.
The storm had the capability to drive seawater levels as high as 14 feet above normal in some areas, the National Hurricane Centre said.
