New Delhi – Normally, it is seen that Government Officers and Officials, sometimes, have to face tranfers to far away stations due to various reasons but a rare case of its own kind has come to light when reason of the IAS couple’s transfer is ‘special attention’ for their ‘pet dog’
A IAS couple has to face transfer from Delhi to two opposite directions due to their pet which was given more prevelige than players and athletes. Sanjeev Khirwar and his wife Rinku Dugga, 1994 batch IAS officers, AGMUT cadre said to be curtailing the practice sessions of Athletes for walking their ‘beloved dog’ on the track of Thyagaraj Stadium. Both the officers are transferred to opposite directions giving seperate stations.
Khirwar who was serving as Principal Secretary (Revenue) with Delhi Government is moved to Ladakh and his wife Rinku who was Secretary , Lands and building is transferred to Arunachal Pardesh.
Meanwhile, Ex- Principal Accountant General and BJP Rajsabha member Amar Partnaik slamming the behaviour of IAS couple said that it is violation of the rights of sportsmen. Demanding disciplinary action from Delhi and Centre governments against the officers, he said a fine should also be imposed on them and which should be cut from their salaries.
