Ludhiana, April 7-
In a bid to ensure treatment of Covid patients with co-morbidities at the earliest to minimize Case Fatality Rate (CFR), Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma has urged the people for reporting to the doctors without fail in case of fever or flu-like symptoms and get tested for Covid.

Showing serious concern on the deaths due to pandemic daily in this worst save during his weekly Facebook live session on the DPRO Ludhiana’s page, Deputy Commissioner said that the foremost priority is to protect the human lives at any cost for which people need to take very first symptom like fever, cough, body-ache and others seriously and get tested for Covid so that timely treatment can be ensured to the persons with co-morbidities.

He disclosed that today, 507 people are admitted in Ludhiana’s various hospitals and 15 persons are on ventilators which is a matter of grave concern. Further, he said that all the people above 45, must take the jab immediately so that the shield against the virus can be provided to them. He said as the wearing of helmet protects biker from head injuries, considered the main cause of death in the mishaps, similarly vaccine saves from the severity of disease hence precious life can be saved.

Deputy Commissioner said there has the serious rise in Covid cases and this time virus spreads greater than earlier wave but we can collectively combat by strictly adhering to wearing mask properly, avoiding to go in-crowd and washing hands frequently.
He asked the people not to take the pandemic lightly as nobody knows when it would be over and extend fulsome support to the health department and administration in fighting the battle by reporting the symptoms to the doctors without fail.
Sharma also thanked the residents for the overwhelming support to the two-day mass vaccination camps held in the last week and said the district administration has been planning more camps at the weekends.
