Chandigarh: The maiden 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha Session commenced with Pro tem Speaker Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar administering the oath of office and secrecy to the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann as Member of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Thursday.

Breaking the convention, all the lady members were administered oath immediately after the Chief Minister. Thereafter, all other male members were sworn in by the Speaker as members of the newly constituted State Assembly district-wise in an alphabetical order.
