India has made history by winning a big Test Down Under in Australia and it is the sixth such victory that India has made against Australia.

But the first one in the last 10 years that India has now won by 31 runs against Australia in the First Test, currently underway in Australia at Adelaide.

There had been playing for quite some time now.

Cheteshwar Pujara’s 123 in the first innings changed the complete game.

India has won 3 tests abroad in 2018 and it is India’s 6th Test Win Down Under and 2nd in Adelaide but first in 10 years in Australia.

By winning this first Adelaide Test, India has now a 1-0 lead in the Test series.

Now if we speak about the doggedness of the Australians yesterday, they were seven wickets down and they were in a very bad position.

In fact, they got the match down to the wire and eventually lost by 31 runs.

How the Match Panned Out

The Australians were 104 for four wickets overnight and they got all out at 235 and fell 31 runs short of the win.

The tail-enders scored lion’s share of run; in fact, Nathan Lyon went on to score 38 and the other part comes in scoring 28-mark.

Mitchell Starc scoring 282 and Josh Hazlewood made 13 before getting out to Ashwin.

This is a win that Indian would remember for a very long time since it has come after 10 years in Australia.

The last time they won in Australia was in Perth in 2008 and they have been hoping to start the series on a winning note.

Now Indian cricket team which has been on a winning run has won three Test matches abroad this year, the first one in Johannesburg, the second in Southampton in England and the third one has been this in Adelaide in Australia.

Although the Australian fought back, given the way, they were corned by the Indians yesterday but they have shown a lot of determination and doggedness and that’s what really makes the win sweeter in the series.
