Indian Football Team in UAE (United Arab Emirates) is still waiting for their full set of kits to arrive and prepare for the AFC Asian Cup.
Replaced Nike as the official kit sponsors for the Indian football team, in a deal worth 8-10 crore with AIFF, Six5Six failed to provide the kits on time.
Therefore, the team is being forced to practice from the public glare wearing the old training kits by Nike.
The federation hasn’t uploaded a single photo of the 28-member squad’s training sessions in Abu Dhabi.
Football Sports Development Limited maintained that it was not their fault, while All India Football Federation (AIFF) played down the incident stating “people are creating unnecessary controversy”.
AIFF secretary general Kushal Das said, “There’s no reason for creating pointless debate. Some of the kits have already been received, and by Tuesday the players will have all the kits with them.”
