Principal give a performance how teachers should engage intellectually and critically with skills such as critical thinking, creativity, scientific temper, multilingualism, problem solving, ethics, social responsibility and digital literacy. These terms should be a subject of further explorations and discussions among teachers. He emphasized on the need for competition of conventional philosophy of learning with latest technology to make education society friendly. The programme on the 2nd day Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha, Assistant professor, GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar discussed the importance of MOOCs courses and the strategically changes in the area of teaching.

He said that the use of multimedia and digital technology is the need of the hour for making learning student friendly. Resource persons of repute from different universities discussed and debated the different aspects and perspectives of the changing learning techniques, during the four days programme. Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Professor, Dept of English, RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh talked about cultivating effective communication skills in English among students. Dr. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Dean Languages, PU, Patiala discussed the changes in the teaching and learning of languages.

Singh, Professor, Dept of Biotechnology, PU, Patiala discussed the ‘Genetically modified foods’ and how they are changing the food chains of our eco-systems. Dr. J. S. Pasricha, Professor, Dept of Commerce, PU, Patiala discussed the ‘Recent developmentts in Financial Markets’ Dr. Amit Kulshrestha, Associate Professor And Head, Dept of Maths Sci, ISSER, Mohali discussed applicable aspects of linear algebra in day to day life that the teaching of mathematics is undergoing a digitized reinvention due to latest softwares available.

Prof. Sadhu Singh, Former Professor, Mahindra College, Patiala demonstrated the principles and working of different electrical equipments in the practical learning of Physics. During this programme the faculty learned to use different digital resources, their usages, multimedia techniques and methods of digitalized knowledge production. Dr. Ajit Kumar, Registrar, Dr. Ganesh Sethi, Dr. Vinay Garg and Dr. Harmohan Sharma discussed with the faculty members various digital platforms and digital resources for research and teaching purpose.
