Overlooking treats given by China, US house speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan strengthing its commitment, showing China its place by standing on Taiwan side.
Taiwan firmly states that it is an independent country and has its own constitution , whereas China views that Taiwan will be part of it.
A strong reaction has come from China as it has banned the import of frozen horse mekel fish , haretail fish and citrus fruits from Taiwan after Pelosi’s visit. The China has threatened to conduct targeted military actions in Taiwan. This announcement came in immediately after the landing of Pelosi. China made an announcement to conduct a military and defense drill around Taiwan stated that J- 20 stealth fighter jets would be included in the drill.
Meanwhile , Taiwan also scrambled fighter jets to warn away 22 Chinese jet aircrafts in its air defense zone, the Taiwanese defense ministry stated.
On the other side , United States has told China not to over react to the Pelosi visit.
