In a first, Black Fungus or Mucomycosis infection has been detected in two children of farm labourers in Karnataka.

An 11-year-old girl from Ballari district and a 14-year-old boy from Chitradurga district were found infected with the fungal disease and are undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bengaluru. Both the children will lose vision in one eye, said a doctor.
