Karan Johar made his directorial debut with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ almost two decades ago. The story about love and friendship starring Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee was a massive hit and is till date one of the most loved films. It does not come off as a surprise that fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel of the film.
Recently, during his radio show titled ‘Calling Karan’, where he imparts words of wisdom and relationship advice to those reeling with problems in their love life, he was asked about the sequel to the 1998 film. To this, he replied that if he were to ever make the sequel he would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor.
Sonam Kapoor’s husband Anand Ahuja, however, had a rather interesting suggestion to make for the sequel of the film. In his Instagram story, he posted a picture of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol from the film and told Karan Johar that he could reuse the clothes for the sequel. Explaining it further he mentioned the ‘thin frame sunglasses’, ‘big logo jacket’, ‘dad jeans’, ‘bulky shoes’, ‘centre zip tracksuit’.
On the work front, Karan Johar is soon going to launch season six of his television chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. The show will premiere on October 21. He also announced his next directorial venture, ‘Takht’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. The film is a period drama set in the Mughal era. Meanwhile, his production company ‘Dharma’, is going to present ‘2.0’ and ‘Simmba’ this year and ‘Student Of The Year 2’ and ‘Brahmastra’ in 2019.
