Chandigarh – Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Amritsar North Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, during zero hour in Vidhan Sabha raised the sacrilege issue and requested the chair to give him permission for 10 minutes to speak on the issue. He said the issue is very sensitive and serious. He asked the speaker Kultar Sandhwan to give him time to speak on the issue or call for half an hour discussion.
He applauded government to carry forward the probe in drug case but he also asked his own government to interrogate the Akali leader, an accused in drug case. He demanded the proper investigation to be done in FIR number 23.He thanked the chief minister for taking good start on the drug issue. He also mentioned about the meeting taken by chief minister two days back on this issue. He was referring to the drug case of Sultanpurwind where a contraband of 197 kg heroine was recovered and an Akali leader Anwar Masih was arrested. At that time congress members in Vidhan Sabha session had demanded to arrest the main and biggest drug seller. He said as the alleged drug seller is in jail he should be interrogated to clear the cloud if he was involved in the matter or not. He raised the issue by bringing call attention motion during zero hour.
