Delhi – The Supreme Court is scheduled to pronounce decision on bail of Ashish Mishra , the main accused in the Lakhimpur Khiri case, today. It may be recalled that an application has been filed in the Supreme Court by the victim’s family and the Samyukta Kisan Morcha opposing bail granted to Ashish Mishra.

The arguements on this application has been completed and the court is scheduled to pronounce its verdict on Ashish Mishra’s bail today. The special bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and accompanied by Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Surya Kant will pronouce the order on bail. Ashish Mishra is the son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra. It may be mentioned that Ashish Mishra has been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court against which the victim’s family and farmers’ organizations had filed an application in the Supreme Court.
