MC Councillor Mamta Ashu along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta on Tuesday, inaugurated the distribution of Corona Fateh Kits from Meritorious School here. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Amrinder Singh Malhi were also present on the occasion.
Divulging details, Mamta Ashu said that the medical kit consists of 18 items, including a pulse oximeter, digital thermometer, essential medicines and among others, along with educational material and instructions on the use of medicines. She said that these kits will be disbursed among all the COVID-19 patients in isolation, whether at home or in hospitals.
She said that the main motive behind distributing these kits was to ensure regular self-monitoring of health indicators of all COVID-19 patients in isolation and in the coming days these kits will be distributed by the Rapid response teams (RRTs) to the home isolated positive patients at their doorsteps.
Civil Surgeon DrRajesh Bagga terming it as a good initiative of the Punjab government said that having this medical kit, now people can take care of themselves in a very easy manner. He also urged people to not to take corona casually and asked them to report immediately to the health department in case of any kind of health-related problem.
