Delhi – The Presidential poll is the most talked topic all over from last a few days. BJP’s proposed candidate Draupadi Murmur is ahead who is backed by BJP-NDA alliance. Yaswant Sinha name is proposed by opposite parties. The election will take place this month.
The regional party and at one-time alliance of saffron party in Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal in a core committee meeting held at Chandigarh office decided to go in support of BJP candidate Murmur. After this decision of SAD, the speculations are made if both the parties could once again become alliance partners.
West Bengal CM Mamta Benarjee cleared the air on this issue by saying the opposition parties might have considered supporting BJP candidate Murmur if the saffron party has consulted the opposition before announcing her name.
West Bengal CM Benarjee maintained that BJP candidate Murmur is getting enough support to her side from various political parties. But, at the same time, she stressed that consensus on the common candidate is the best option.
Mentionable, the Presidential election is scheduled to be held on 18 this month. The political experts are of the view that Murmur chances of win has increased with the changed political scene of Maharastra.
