Newsdesk – Several trains in Telengana and Bihar set on fire by protestors protesting against ‘Agnipath’ , the newly launched scheme of Centre government.

Around 20 coaches of the New Delhi – Bhagalpur Vikramshila Express , New Delhi Darbanga Sampark Kranti Express and Samastipur and Lakhisarai stations. The angry protests also blocked highways.

The protestors are demanding for the scrapping of Agnipath Scheme in arm forces in which the government has proposed to make recruitments on contract system.

Bihar had also witnessed massive protest on thursday against the centre’s scheme. Reports from the spots pouring in say that the hoolginism and vandalism was captured by thousands of lenses as some passengers and people standing on the station started clicking selfies, smoking videos and pics and the incident was viral on the social media platforms whereas cameras of media did capture the incident with little gap of time.

South Central Railways cancelled more than two dozen trains including mail and express trains and some other 8 trains routes were diverted.

It was a difficult situation to tackle for the cops with the outnumbered protestors on roads. The police had to fire in the air to wither away the crowd in Secunderabad in Telengana.

It is pertinent to mention here the violent protests had been flared up agitating against the centre’s short term recruitment scheme in Military. Centre’s new scheme ‘Agnipath’ is launched aiming to hire recruits between the age of 17.5 to 21years. Around a quarter section of the whole lot of successful recruits would be retained in the army after the four years working on contract terms under the scheme, the reports say.
