Hails Lokpal and Anti Red Tape Legislations to Strengthen Transparency
Chandigarh, March 17:Appreciating the announcement made by the Chief Minister of Punjab, regarding filling up of one lakh government vacancies in the next two years, Mr. Raman Bahl, Chairman Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board said that ‘Merit and Transparency’ have been the hallmarks of recruitment process under Capt. Amarinder Singh led government. He said that the recruitment done through PSSSB in the last two years has been based on the said principles and the Board would endeavor its best to support the recruitment process in future as well by adhering to Chief Minister’s vision.

He said that facilitating expeditious economic development in the state despite assuming the reign of governance in the back drop of economic shambles has been a challenge well met by the present government. The responsive and people oriented administration by Capt. Amarinder Singh has made possible the facilitation of lakhs of jobs for the youth in the state. The decision to lower the retirement age of government employees from 60 to 58 years would further give a push to the opportunities for the youth, said Bahl.बि

Hailing the decision to of the Punjab government to enact Lokpal and Anti Red Tape Legislations, he said that this will go a long way in to strengthening transparency in working of the government functionaries. The Punjab Lokayukta Bill, 2020, will cover all levels of public functionaries including the Chief Minister , Ministers, non-officials and officials of all public offices in the State and will enhance governance and check corruption, said he.

He said that the working of Congress led government during its three years in power has been very impressive. It has fully and partially fulfilled most of its promises and the remaining about a hundred of the promises made in the poll manifesto will be fulfilled in the coming twenty four months.
