Chandigarh/S. A. S. Nagar, Today, The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu here kickstarted the renovation work of Landran junction on Chandigarh – Landran – Chunni-Sirhind Road (SH-12 A) at a cost of Rs. 25.33 Crore. He was also accompanied by the PWD Minister Mr. Vijayinder Singla on the occasion. Thanking the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on the occasion, Mr. Sidhu also said that earlier paver blocks worth Rs. 45 lakhs were installed thus providing relief to the people and now the present project would rid the area of numerous traffic jams.
This would be of great help to the people coming from different districts of Punjab to Chandigarh. He also said that the people take this route for traveling to Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh and have to face hassles owing to traffic jams.
