The successful landing of American Space Agency NASA’s InSight spacecraft marks the space agency’s return to Mars.
NASA’s JET Pollucon Laboratory began with a boast of happiness and congratulations after the landing.
An $814 million dollar InSight mission came down to a touchdown after traveling 300 million miles.
Thomas Zurbuchen, NASA Associate Administrator, said, “We call it seven minutes of terror.”
Launching in May, the first mission to study the interior of Mars, InSight hit 3,000 degrees using a heat shield, parachute and rockets to slow is descent from 12,000 to 5 miles an hour.
“What the team pulled off today is truly historic,” Thomas added.
After InSight’s heroic journey, the spacecraft’s first dusty look began its groundbreaking work on Mars.
According to the information, Insight Lander is designed to get information about the world of Mars, its construction, inner structure and many other things.
