Chandigarh: Today in a media briefing Dr. Harcharan Singh Ranauta, National General Secretary, All India Backward Classes Federation told the press that Rashtriya OBC Mahasangh in collaboration with other National and regional organizations of OBCs will hold its 7th National Convention on 7th of August at Taalkotora Stadium in New Delhi.
The key agendas of the convention will be that caste vise census of OBCs should be performed throughout India, restoring the political reservation of the OBCs stayed by the Supreme Court and reservation should be properly made applicable to the OBC community. In the convention there will be discussion about provisions of funds to made for OBC category in Annual Buldget of the Union Government.
In this 7th National Convention, Shri Sharad Pawar , Shri. Bhupesh Baghel ,Chief Minister Chattisgarh, Shri Eknath Shinde ,Cheif Minister Maharashtra and Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav and other renowned dignitaries will preside over the meeting.
Mr. Ranauta in his address requested all the organizations of OBCs of State and Local levels to come together, participate and make this colossal event a huge success.
