Change plan District Hospital became a mere referral centre, now the change seems to be happening. It was noticed on Wednesday when a poor woman’s kidney operation was carried out in only 23 rupees and nine millimetre stone was removed.

23 rupees were spent in making the woman slip in the hospital. To get the same operation in a private hospital, the expenditure would be around 20 thousand rupees.

Nine-millimetre stones found in women’s kidneys

Chief Medical Officer Dr RK Joshi told that Dholani’s daughter Tulsi Devi (36), who was moaning with stomach pain, reached the hospital on Wednesday. Radiologist Dr Pradeep Bisht, who saw the condition of the woman, did the ultrasound, the ninth millimetre stone was found in the female’s kidney.

He started preparing for the operation of women, after giving anesthesiologist Dr Venkatesh Dwivedi’s anaesthesia, Surgeon Dr Amit Dewal removed the calculus by operating.

There have been five operations in the last two months in the district hospital

Staff Nurses Suman William also supported the operation in the hour of operation. After the operation the woman is healthy. She has been shifted to General Ward.

In the past two months, there have been five operational operations including a hernia, elbow in the district hospital. CMS says that if other equipment for operation is available within a month, more operations will start from March.
