Patiala: N.S.S. Unit of Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education organised a Workshop on Moral Education in the college campus. Ajaib Singh Chatha (Chairman, Punjabi World Conference) was the speaker of the day. While welcoming the Guests, College Principal, Dr. Harmeet Kaur Anand said that Morality is the most important value of our life. It makes our life easy and better. She further added that moral values reflect an individual’s character and spirituality. They help in building good relationships in personal as well as professional lives.

Moral values enable us to know where to draw lines and also highlight to us the lines we should never cross. She further added that the process of developing these moral values should start from our homes. Being would be teachers it is your duty to instill such values in your students.While interacting with the students Chatha said that moral values give meaning and purpose to life. Few years ago, moral education to students was given by joint family system, social system and by the teachers in the education system. But now the joint family system has shattered and teachers don’t have time to provide these values to the students. The neglect of teaching moral values is hurting our young generation and causing problems in society. He ended by saying that if we live our lives according to moral values only then we can imporve our community as well as our quality of life. On this occasion two tracts ‘Saaka Chakaur’ and ‘Nikian Jindaan Atte Vadda Saaka ‘ released by Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar Sahib were distributed among the students for getting knowledge regarding four sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji . In the end Dr. Gurwinder Kaur ( Programme Officer) thanked the guests .
