Chandigarh – The Patiala police have arrested the expelled Shiv Sena leader Harish Singla today late evening.
Police came in action after the High Level meeting held at CM residence in Chandigarh.
The Kotwali Thana Police have arrested the expelled Shiv Sena Leader and he will be produced in the court of CJM. It is to mention here that a call was given for ‘Anti Khalistani’ March by the expelled leader Harish Singla. The Sikh organisations gathered near ‘Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib’ protesting against this march.
A clash erupted between two sides and the law and order situation was at stake. But the civil and police administration tried to control over the situation. No toll was reported.
Taking serious notice of the issue, the CM Bhagwant Mann called up an emergency meeting of all the higher officials to take stock of the situation. The Chief Minister seemed quite annoyed due to incident and told all the officers present in the meeting to handle the situation with strong hands. Singla was arrested thereafter.
