Chandigarh: Punjab Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the Congress Legislative Party leader Partap Singh Bajwa and other leaders will accompany Alka Lamba while she appears before Ropar Police tomorrow at 10 am. The PCC president said Congress party expresses complete solidarity with Lamba who has been booked by Ropar Police for speaking against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

He disclosed that Lamba was already here in Punjab as she was supposed to appear before the police today. However, Raja added, apparently to ensure that their “instrument of surrender” might get overshadowed by with Lamba’s appearance in Ropar, the Aam Aadmi Party government decided to postpone the summons by a day. The PCC president clarified that it was the Ropar Police which had postponed the summons while Lamba had already arrived in Punjab to present her case.
