TORONTO: Indo-Canadian leader Anita Anand was on Tuesday named the country’s new defense minister. The party is in talks to make changes in the defense sector.
Anand, 54, will replace Indian-origin Defense Minister Harjeet Sajjan, who has been criticized in the military for failing to deal with sexual harassment cases properly.

According to a report in the National Post, Sajjan has been appointed Minister of the International Development Agency.
