Ottawa – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed condolences to the people affected by the terrible tsunami in Indonesia on Sunday afternoon.
Justin Trudeau tweeted, “A very shocking and tragic situation in Indonesia – today we send condolences to everyone affected by the tsunami that caused so much devastation on the Sunda Strait. Canadians’ thoughts are with you & our government is ready to offer assistance if needed.”

Trudeau further wrote the helpline numbers in another tweet.
However, no further details on the assistance the PM Trudeau was ready to offer.
Neither do the New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh nor Conservative Party leader Andrew Scheer commented on the devastating event in Indonesia.
There was no warning issued before the waves hit, according to the head of public relations at Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency.
Let us tell you that more than 280 people have been killed with over 800 people were injured and many people are still missing.
