Chandigarh: On the instructions of Power and PWD Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO, the electricity connection of a poor woman, hailing from Tarn Taran District and who became a victim of road accident some days ago, has been reinstated.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Power Department said that the Power Minister had come to know via a video that a woman Mrs. Swaranjit Kaur W/o Dilbagh Singh and R/o Jandoke Sarhali, Tehsil Patti, District Tarn Taran is living with her 3 small children without electricity/ fan in hot summer season.

It also came to be known that the said woman met with a serious accident sometime ago and suffered a serious hip injury thereby making her unable to walk. It is noteworthy that the Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO had directed the Superintending Engineer, Tarn Taran to ensure electricity at the house of the concerned woman so that she may get some respite in the scorching summer heat.

The Minister also instructed the officials to make sure that the cases pertaining to reinstating electricity at the homes of such needy people belonging to the poor strata of the society, must be considered with sympathy and they be extended all help.
