Chandigarh: Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) and Gram Tarang Employability Training Services Pvt. Ltd. On Friday organized Technical Workshop of National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) for Industries and Industries associations under SANKALP project at Multi Skill Development Center, Ludhiana.
Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of Punjab Government said that Additional Mission Director PSDM, Rajesh Tripathi inaugurated the program and released a booklet regarding NAPS scheme. “On this occassion, Tripathi stated that PSDM under the aegis of Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training is committed to providing industry oriented skill training to the youth of Punjab and this workshop is a sincere endeavour of PSDM under SANKALP project in this direction”, he added.
Divulging further, Mrs. Parvinder Kaur, Project Coordinator, PSDM mentioned that apprenticeship is the way forward for youth to bridge the gap of demand and supply for trained human resources. She said that 38 Industries of Ludhiana joined the workshop and took benefits from it.
Meanwhile, Shri Abhinav Madan, Managing Director, Gram Tarang Employability Services apprised the members on how they can facilitate industry as a Third Party Aggregator. He also urged industries to come forward and implement NAPS scheme in their respective industries.
Dr. Pushkar Mishra, State in charge, Gram Tarang thanked the industries and requested them to come forward for apprenticeship so as to prepare youth as per demand of the industry.
