AAP MLAs lack moral conviction to stay aloof from BJP

Chandigarh – Senior congress leader & Punjab’s leader of the opposition (LoP), Partap Singh Bajwa on Wednesday said Bhagwant Mann might not be able to protect five legislators of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from Gujarat for a long time who have reportedly taken shelter in Punjab.

“ Kejriwal’s superfluous claim that he had picked up diamonds for the Gujarat elections for his party is proving to be a big hoax now. In fact some of these MLAs have already showered praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and can anytime shift loyalties to the saffron party”, said Bajwa.

In fact, Kejriwal was getting the taste of own medicine now. “ He brought these legislators from other political parties thinking they would stay loyal to him. However such politicians have no moral or ethical strings attached to AAP and could switch over to any other party offering better options.

Bajwa said interestingly though these five MLAs could not make or mar BJP’s government in Gujarat which already has a massive majority but by switching over they could surely upset the calculations of Kejriwal who has already declared AAP to be national party.

“ There is no doubt some privileges do come along with the national status of a political party but for that Kejriwal has to keep his flock together”.

Bajwa said the AAP in Punjab have already raised the bogey of operation lotus in the state claiming that the BJP had offered them crores of rupees to switch sides.

“ We are not even sure what progress the police or vigilance bureau inquiry has made so far on operation lotus or was it just a mere propaganda to divert attention of the people from the real issues of Punjab “, questioned Bajwa.

Strap: Mann is the most insincere and inexperienced CM Punjab has ever had, who often has a casual approach to significant issues: LoP.

Chandigarh, December 14
Senior Congress Leader and Punjab’s Leader of Opposition, Partap Singh Bajwa on Wednesday termed the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann the most insincere and inexperienced CM Punjab has ever had, who often has a casual approach to significant issues.

Bajwa launched a scathing attack on Mann following the Punjab Governor, Banwari Lal Purohit’s letter to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann regarding Mann’s ignorance over the communications between Punjab Cheif Secretary and Governor on Chandigarh SSP Kuldeep Chahal’s repatriation.

“I have already said previously that CM Mann was too busy in Gujarat election campaigning hence, he had left Punjab at the mercy of God. Similarly, the Governor of Punjab also mentioned that he couldn’t contact Mann because he was busy with election campaigning in Gujarat. This very fact demonstrates the lax attitude and insincerity of CM Mann towards Punjab”, Bajwa added.

Qadian MLA, Bajwa went on to say that the governor’s letter also shed light on the fact that there was a major communication gap between CM Mann and Punjab’s bureaucracy including Chief Secretary.

“Bureaucracy is considered as an eye and ear of the government. Mann must make this fact public whether Chief Secretary made him aware of his communications with Punjab Governor on the Chandigarh SSP issue. This development also points the finger at intelligence failure”, Bajwa added.

In a statement, Bajwa also said that if Mann could have information about the arrest of the alleged gangster, Goldy Brar while campaigning in Gujarat, why couldn’t he establish contact with the Chief Secretary to have updates on major happenings in the state?

LoP said that Mann should know, how dear Chandigarh is to Punjab. He cannot afford to have such a casual approach to the issues that matter to Punjab the most.
