Chandigarh, April 27: The Rural Development officers Association today contributed Rs 2 lac to Chief Ministers Relief Fund. On behalf of the Rural Development Officers Association Avtar Singh Bhullar President, Jagwinder Jeet Singh Sandhu Senior Vice President, Mrs. Raminder Kaur Butter, Jatinder Singh Brar, Joginder Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Garg and Avtar Singh Sidhu handed over the cheque to the Rural Development Minister for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The Association members said that the Punjab Government in the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is fighting a war against the deadly virus and state was going through a very difficult period. They said that the state needs lot of money to win this battle but all the sources of income for the government were closed from almost last 2 months. Therefore being responsible citizens of the state they have contributed a little bit to the CM Relief Fund.

Thanking the association for this contribution the Minister said that the all the officers and employees, doctors and pharmacists are fighting like warriors at the forefront against the corona virus to the save the people.

The Minister further said that it’s due to the untiring and sincere efforts of the rural development department and panchayats that our villages are safe from Corona. Besides this the minister also lauded the efforts of rural development for playing a vital role in awaring people to be safe from corona during wheat harvest, procurement and transportation.
The Minister appealed to all the sections of the society to come forward to contribute more and more to the CM Relief Fund. He also said with joint efforts of all we will soon win this battle against corona.
