Debt disbursement ceremonies were organized by 57 branches of Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank (PADBs). Under this a state level function was held at Jaggi Resorts, Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib in which 4 PADBs of Fatehgarh Sahib participated. Apart from this 21 more PADBs of Patiala Division, 25 PADBs of Jalandhar Division and 07 PADBs of Ferozepur Division organized loan disbursement ceremonies. At the state level function, loans of about Rs. 0.96 crore were sanctioned to 23 beneficiaries at Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib and loan checks of about Rs. 0.21 crore were issued to 07 beneficiaries. In addition, 78 Good Paymasters who paid regular installments were honored. At Punjab level all the PADBs sanctioned loans of about Rs. 11 crore to 204 beneficiaries and issued loan checks of about Rs. 09 crore to 254 beneficiaries. The purpose of these events was to make the farmers aware about the various loan schemes of the bank and to approve / disburse loans on a large scale, so as to give a boost to the loan disbursement program of the bank.

The Bank launched several new schemes for the convenience of the farmers like Moratorium, Debt Restructuring Scheme, Penal Interest Waiver Scheme etc. which helped in easy repayment of loans. Under the Moratorium Scheme, installments of Rs. 80.75 crore of about 5800 borrowers have been deferred for 06 months. Under the Debt Restructuring Scheme, loans amounting to Rs. 87.47 crore of more than 1500 borrowers have been restructured. Similarly, relief of Rs. 03.15 crore has been provided to more than 8300 debtors under penalty interest waiver scheme. Apart from this to take the Punjab State Cooperative Bank to new heights, loan waiver, crop loan and lump sum loan agreement scheme for farm laborers, landless farmers and borrowers were also implemented under which the total benefit of the borrowers was about Rs. 2848.19 crore.
