Chandigarh : Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has expressed deep grief over the demise of Samajwadi Party founder and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav, who passed away in a hospital in Delhi this morning.

Sandhwan said that Sri Mulayam Singh Yadav was a grassroots leader who played an important role in carrying forward the socialist ideology. He said that Yadav devoted his entire life to protect the rights and interests of the downtrodden and left a significant mark on the politics of India.

Sandhwan shared his grief with the members of the Mr. Yadav family and prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul.
