Patiala: Multani Mal Modi College organized a special function to distribute scholarships to 95 deserving students of the college by Dr. S.P.S. Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust. Mrs. Inderjeet Gill, Director Education, Gaganpreet Singh, General Secretary were also present on the occasion.

College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest and said that Trust has become a symbol of social welfare and a hope for better education and affordable health services for number of lives across the globe. Mrs. Gill discussed various activities and schemes initiated by the Trust. Dr. Oberoi while addressing the students motivated them to work hard and to dedicate themselves for the betterment of our society. He also distributed the prizes to the winners of the Quiz Contest organized by the college focusing on the fundamental aspects of Indian Constitution to mark the Constitution Day. He also handed over the cheque Rupees 9.50 lakh of scholarships for the needy and deserving students of Modi College. A sketch of him was presented as token of gratitude to Sh. Singh by Ms. Jasneet Kaur and a winner in Dera Baba Nanak Online Youth Festival for Sketch of Shri Guru Nanak Devi Ji. The stage was conducted by Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma, Dean, Students Welfare. Vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Baljinder Kaur.
