Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella has been selected to receive the National Medal of Technology and Innovation, the United States’ highest honour for technological achievement.
Reuters reported, citing a White House official, that Nadella and Dell Technologies chief executive Michael Dell were scheduled to receive their medals on October 8.
The announcement represents a major recognition for Hyderabad-born Nadella and his career in the American technology industry. The report confirmed his selection but preceded the scheduled presentation ceremony.
