Amritsar: Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned from the post of Punjab Congress President out of resentment over the decision of two important appointments made by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, is adamant on his stubbornness or kneeling before the High Command to assume the responsibility of State President.
It will be revealed today that Sidhu will appear before Congress general secretary Venugopal and state in-charge Harish Rawat in Delhi today.
Even after Sidhu’s resignation, CM Channy did not make any changes in the appointments of DGP and Advocate General. Along with the Chief Minister, the Congress High Command has also taken a tough stance on Sidhu’s resignation this time.
While the high command has remained silent on Sidhu’s resignation, Sidhu is trying to create challenges for the state government by tweeting. Chief Minister Channi has given a clear signal to Sidhu to fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him.
