Srinagar: As winter is approaching, some parts of India observed a dip in the temperature on Wednesday with Kashmir receiving its first snowfall of the season.
In the remote mountainous regions of the valley, involving Drass received a fresh spell of snowfall.
On Tuesday evening, Baktore, Tulial and Dawar areas of Gurez also observed moderate snowfall.
According to reports, it was cool in the national capital Delhi with minimum temperature at 19.2 degree Celsius.
Cloudy skies with maximum temperature are expected to hover around 34 degrees C as forecasted by the Meteorological (MeT) Department.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms and rains are forecasted down South.
Thunderstorm with lightning is predicted to occur at remote places over Kerala, Tamilnadu, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal and South interior Karnataka on Wednesday, as per reports.
Further thunderstorms were witnessed in Goa on Tuesday evening.
