CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi today expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic incident of brutal killing of a principal and a teacher belonging to minorities inside a government school in Srinagar on Thursday. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister appealed to the Union Government to take effective steps to ensure the safety of the people across the state as the people were living in an atmosphere of mistrust and intimidation of various separatists in the terror affected state. .

Stressing on the need to create a sense of security among the people, he said that the Union government should expedite the law and order machinery so that the culprits could be brought to justice immediately.
