Chandigarh: The BJP central government under the astute leadership of Prime Minister the agriculture sector has got a boost with a whopping budget allocations of 1,23,960.75 for 2022-23. Said Mr Iqbal Singh Lalpura National spokesperson of BJP here today.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters Mr Lalpura said that since 2014 the Modi government has committed to a roadmap to improve and revive the agriculture sector in the country.

While in the five years from 2009 to 2014 the then Prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh a meagre 8.5 percent increase was done for agriculture sector. Whereas between 2014 to 2019 there has been an increase of 38 percent. This figure alone reflects the intentions of the keen interest the Modi government is pursuing to better the economic interests of the agriculture sector.

Mr Lalpura categorically said that major milestones the PM kisan scheme provided 11.78 crore farmers and funds amounting to 1.82 lakh crores in various instalments.

Then there is the flagship PM Kisan a central scheme launched in 2019 to supplement financial needs of land holding farmers. A benefit of 6000 per year is transferred in three equal instalments into the bank accounts to farmers. Said Mr Lalpura. The Prime Minister understands that a very large segment of our population is in the agriculture sector and it has to be revived with premier schemes.

Kisan credit card , soil health card,Pradhan Mantri krishi Sinchayee Yojana , National agriculture market are all geared up to help the farmers and make farming more economically remunerative. Said National Spokesperson Mr Lalpura.
